Paddy

Welcome to your new pad

Ladies and gentlemen . . . I give you . . . Paddy! I am aware that I have now become one of those people who post pictures of kittens on their websites, but really, what a wonderful world.

DSCN0649

You'll note that his water bowl stands on yesterday's Guardian, with its predictions for the council elections, thus marking Paddy's arrival in history. I'll try and enlarge these pics on a PC tomorrow. (I'm a bit limited on this Mac.)

Beautiful. They have great feet at that age.

What a cutie. They kind of grow into their ears, don't they? I want one.

I've just left him in his room, bounding around, exploring the space, mucking about with a ball and a toy mouse we bought him. He doesn't need me at this moment, he's self-contained. (We're keeping him apart from Pepper, whose house this is, as I may have mentioned. We're looking forward, perhaps in a couple of weeks, to introducing them. Let's hope they get on!) It's marvellous to have a new life in the house. Hats off to Sue in Carshalton, for putting the ad in the paper - and for bringing Paddy up in a house full of life (ie. kids, other cats, even dogs) - that's the best grounding a cat can have.

Really cute kitten. The Guardian under the cat's litter tray when I "hosted" my mum's cat this week. Just about the right size.

"...a cloudburst doesn't last all day ..."

Life's great isn't it ?

We'd probably have a dog or a cat but we couldn't give it the attention it deserves. Maybe when the kids have flown the nest. (sometime in the 22nd century I imagine)

Re Beth's comment about the ears: my mum and dad lived in Africa in the sixties and had a couple of cats. Any cat spotters know what breed this is?

Home is where the Piscean cat's heart is. The lure of garden walls holds no attraction for these cats. Attention centres on their owners, who can be assured of a Piscean puss's single-minded devotion. Leo owners find Piscean cats entertaining; Scorpio owners have a dreaminess Piscean cats find irresistible.

(Important information from the Little Tabby Cat Book.)

Dave - don't know but could be a young Tabby Point Siamese, according to the book.

Stupid book... Toto doesn't appear to have 'tabby points' so maybe just Siamese - a very beautiful one (whatever it is).

Cheers, Simon. They both appear to have been completely white, but I didn't think Siamese had big ears like that. Mind you, beyond "tabby", "ginger", and "cute", I know nothing.

Awwww, very cute! You can never have too many pictures of kittens on a blog ... :-)

Aww, Andrew, he's gorgeous!!!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with putting up kitten photos on your website - just look at the response you get!! (But then, I was one of those teenaged girls that went straight to the "cute fluffy animal" pages of teen magazines...)

How about a photo of Pepper now? Maybe one of the historic meeting between Pepper and Paddy, complete with that day's Guardian? Maybe they could have their own blog - or is that a step too far?

There's a great photo of Pepper on this very website.

Paddy is full of beans tonight. I slept in the same room as him last night and he kept waking me up with his little miaows, and by clambering up onto the bed next to my face! Pepper hangs around outside the door of his room, but only if we're in there. She's more interested in finding out what she's missing than the fact that it's a kitten, I think. I'll get some more pics soon, and as for that momentous meeting - I'm sure it will take place within the week.

Awww - how cute is he?!! Look at his little stripes!! I'm getting all kitten broody now. I got my cat over a year ago now and when I first got her she was so excited running up & down the stairs. I want another one!

Well, that's done it - I urgently need a kitten! Think yourself lucky that you don't live near me Andrew, I would have to come round your house and steal Paddy in the night. Cute little bugger.

We decided a while back that we'll get one when we move into a flat that's bigger than a shoebox. Anyone got any two-beds going spare in Battersea? I can't wait for my cat any longer!

I want one too. We have always had cats in our family, but at the moment are stuck on the third floor, next to a main road. We're looking at Battersea, actually - good place to have a cat (and I can't afford Hampstead...)
