A nice man called Mr Joe Blogs (not his real name) has just interviewed me for his website Mr Joe Blog's Blog!, where he interviews people whose blogs he likes. To his credit, he took my ribbing about his incorrect apostrophe use in the correct spirit. There is also an interview with Richard Herring, the comedian and actor, another man who can't use an apostrophe to save his life. Although it's unlikely using one would save your life, you never know how things are going to pan out.

I enjoyed the interview. It's a good idea for a blog. Happy birthday for March 4th.
On the topic of the apostrophe, there is a story of a house being knocked down in error due to the misuse of the apostrophe. So the correct use may not save your life but could certainly save the life of your house. It's something that also greatly annoys me when I see it misused and I hope that I get it right most of the time. I work in the building industry and don't like the needless destruction of houses.
Andrew - thanks so much for the mention! As a woman who's come to egomania relatively late in life, it's very gratifying.
Where do you stand on the Howards' Way debate? That's its correct title, but shouldn't it really be Howard's Way? Wasn't it Tom Howard's way we were following, rather than the Howard clan en masse?
Andrew, we need a ruling here.
Well done for plugging The Urban Woo!
My grandfather (the explorer Victorian Suicide) once stopped a charging Rhino with an apostrophe.. There's's something you do'nt hear of every day!
I know this is way off topic, but that is some seriously "big hair" on the 6Music gallery. Impressive.
Happy birthday on sunday, Andrew. Let me know what 42 is like - I get there later this year and I'm hoping to discover life, the universe and everything!
And congratulations on the nomination, too. I feel a joke about apostrophes coming on in season / series 2 of Not Going Out...!
Ooh you have the same birthday as my cousin! (Not that you wanted to know that, I'm sure, but hey.) Happy Birthday.
Speaking of apostrophes, our Housing Services office have just printed thousands of copies of its accommodation brochure with "its" spelt incorrectly throughout, which is going to irritate me every time I give one to a student. On top of this, (this might be of interest as I know you fought the mergers in the 80s) they have actually completely missed off the map one of the colleges the mighty University of the Arts has recently swallowed up. Grr....
On an unrelated note, how's your cat doing these days?

Happy birthday for this weekend. My birthday is next weekend.
This will irritate you, Andrew. As I go to and from work every day, I pass two kiosks, which read 'Sharon's Toiletrie's' and 'Moira's Fruit and Juice's'. And every day I want to correct them.

This reminds me of when I used to work in a college and the students used to send us e mails in text message language - "Cld u snd me a frm" This was a real bugbear of mine. The next thing will be that they will be allowed to sit exams in this 'language'.
Andrew happy birthday for tomorrow.
Happy birthday - but the Saturday show on the 6music site is still last week's sort it out! I went to a shitty board meeting on my birthday so there's no excuse. Unless you're off getting drunk with a duck or something.
Happy birthday. Hope you got given the bumps.
And hope y'all saw the lunar eclipse on the Saturday night - how cool was that?
Lunar eclipse was great. It went a kind of eerie redish colour...
I too saw the lunar eclipse. That was the first one I have ever seen as it's been too cloudy on previous occasions. I then saw it again on Sunday as my dad had videoed it.
