Bad boys II
The latest work of photographic genius from Steve Brown (who claims the C&H project is taking longer than he expected because of some "paid work" he had to do first, the venal mercenary that he is). Does this mean we'll have to make our podcasts as professional and impressive as the photos from now on? I hope not. Steve Newman (we only work with Steves) did the excellent lettering. And this is what it will look like on iTunes.

Doug & Dinsdale Piranah. Cruel but fair.
Is it supposed to look as though you're about to collapse in fits of giggles?
Ha! Richard does look actually tough there, but you, Andrew, look more anemic or like you're suffering from the flu. ;)
Nice pic.
So, this is the new picture for Brokeback Podcast is it?
Some years ago Willy Rushton and Barry Cryer performed at the Edinburgh Fringe in a show, jsut telling tales and rambling. Is it too much to ask that you and your colleague think hard about doing something similar?
Maybe next year, Gari. It could work. We are considering the logistics of me going up to Edinburgh this year for a couple of days (Richard will of course already be up there) and recording the podcast in front of a small, invited audience somewhere, if we can arrange it. That would be fun.
OK, now get out of my office and go and do some real policework. I've got the mayor breathing down my neck demanding results, and you've got less than 48 hours to get me some rock-solid evidence, or I'll want your badges and guns! Oh, and let's not have any more incidents like . . .
How would one wangle such an invitation, Andrew?
Nice one, Steves. I've done a linky on my blog - that'll be one soul of extra traffic heading your way.

Yes, how would one get an invitation to your [potential] Edinburgh podcast recording? I would love to [potentially] be there.
This is entirely off topic, but Martin Freeman is covering for George Lamb at 10am this morning. Yay! Motown instead of... wank. It's early - I have not yet developed the ability to be descriptive.
xx
Actually, I think Saliwho is being harsh on herself, it is as acurate a description of George Lamb's show as I have heard.
And I too must ask...This Live Podcast thing, the tickets, how exactly would one obtain one?
Will it be like Charlie and The Chocolate Factory? Golden Tickets hidden inside the Radio Times?
Andrew,
Just a couple of things spring to mind about the latest podcast. 1, I often listen your podcasts twice, so 60 minutes or more isn't a problem - the more the better! 2, The bit about Irish people saying 'quid': I just started Ulysses and someone says quid on the second page. Maybe it's like when Americans say 'penny'...Or were they ruled by Britain then...?
Steven H.
Steven H - re: Ulysses, maybe I've been too hasty! (Still, I'm not going to watch Heroes.) As for the Golden Tickets to our live podcast, which, don't forget, is still an idea at this stage . . . I don't know. My guess is that, if we can find a venue on the Friday morning, we'd put the word out on our blogs and make you all fight each other in the street.
