And in a break from the national discourse ...
... Here's me, Matt Hall and Mark Ellen recording the latest Word Podcast early this morning in the board room of their media eyrie in a sun-dabbled London's Islington. I'm afraid one of the burning issues we touch upon is the hairy comedian, his cigar-smoking mate and a 78-year-old actor, but there's other stuff on there too. I haven't been on the Word Podcast for months. There's a waiting list! But it's always worth it.

Ooh, nice. The Word podcast has eluded me thus far - what better time to give it a go!
Me too...I'll give the word a listen to as well. Oh, thanks for the Phill and Phil plug on last week's AC & RH podcast, I've enjoyed that too.
Although I see what you mean about 'production' values vs the AC & RH podcast.
What about a 'live' podcast but not infront of a crowd but, say, out in a Park on a bench or in a coffee shop or some other 'outsidey' place...i know it would probably be hard to record on a laptop, but I assume you have some kind of Digital Dictaphoney thing?
Anyway, just a thought.
martin kelner did one while cooking and eating a curry which was hilarious.

I think that's for us to judge, isn't it??!
It's for you to judge whether the podcast is "worth" listening to; it's for me, and me only, to judge whether it's "worth" being on it. And it is. That's why I do it. There is no money in it. I volunteer to do it because I enjoy it so much. Which is what I meant.
Apologies for any misunderstanding caused by my misleading language!
digging the colour co-ordination of the attire (athough the man at the back, Matt Hall, might actually be wearing blue)
No Biscuits?!
I knew that.
I was being cheeky.
Thanks for the photo, I listen to all the word podcasts so it is nice to see the 'view of young islington' rather than just the sound! love Justine
I think thats maybe the first word podcast where I havent heard the sound of young islington going by.
Matt Hall (trying to call David Hepworth to join in the podcast on the phone):"Looks like we're getting his voicemail"
AC: "I could blurt something out!"
ME: "Er, maybe not a good ..." (dissolves in laughter)
(Hepcat's voicemail message ends. There is a bleep)
AC: "Oatmilk!... er, Mosley! ... er, Mitford!"
You look like you are in for an interview and are being polite by laughing at their jokes.
