The gift that goes on giving
Today was the end of term for Colllings & Herrin. We pre-recorded (alright, recorded, which is the same as pre-recorded) our end of year special podcast, which will be available to download on December 31, which is New Year's Eve. Our Christmas special, with Phill Jupitus and Phil Wilding, will be available to download on December 23, which is Tuesday. (You can download from us, or from them, and although the content will be pretty much the same, the method of recording will be quite different.)The picture above is Richard about to open his Christmas present from me, but you'll have to wait until New Year's Eve to find out what's in this tiny parcel. For now, here is exclusive footage of me opening the massive parcel he gave to me earlier this week.
Thank you for all your support; we will be with you over the festive period in podcast if not in body.

And thanks to iTunes for putting us in their favourite podcasts of 2008. Nice.

The thanks go to you Andrew and Richard, for not only cheering us all up and giving us some delicious food for thought throughout the year, but also for influencing myself and my mate via your outstanding regular contribution to our ears, so much so that since August we've been recording our own comedy podcast called For the Love of G...lasgow. We're beginning to climb up the (very tall) ladder in iTunes and hope to have an increasingly popular 2009. So thanks again and have a great festive break.
Andrew
Surely recording next week's podcast before this week's, and talking about it, is a dangerous case of dabbling with the space-time continuum?? Hope you and Richard don't disappear into a wormhole!!
Thanks for an enjoyable year (watching you in Edinburgh was my podcast favourite). Have a lovely Christmas and New Year.
Keep on keeping on.
Doug.
Did richard cover up the page 3 girls face by mistake or as a very subtle take on objectifying women by their bodies? :)
Have a good Christmas and New Year Andrew, and thanks for all the entertainment. Here's hoping that in years to come you'll be appearing genuinely enthusiastic on 'I Love 2009'.
No Thank you Mr Colllins. You and Richard saw me through dropping out of college, travelling across two continents and getting back in again. No other podcasters could talk so long or loud and I am grateful.
Merry Christmas,
Kate
PS. Either Richard has arms that are hugely disproportionate to his body or you changed your mind about giving him that book.
or....Ferne Cotton's life has been so uneventful thus far(or at least un-bookworthy) that it comes in tiny flick-book size?
My guess is a pack of Top Trumps cards. Size and shape reminds me of a desperate stocking filler I grabbed in HMV (£3). Question is, which theme; Dr Who, Hannah Montana or Wrestling?
Have a great Christmas break.
Yes...thank YOU...for making me smile so much and so often this year and, sometimes, guffaw a fair bit too.
I just watched your 'vidcast' on Richards DVD and it's fab to see you both "working" in your "studio"!
Well done on successsfully hitting the West End stage anyway and have a very merry Christmas
