More lion pop

He's done it again (Nathan Jay the clever disco songwriter, that is). The video this time is mindblowing - it's like being in my own, public transport-based computer game. And check out the detail in the adverts. If only my publishers really had advertised my books like that.

Haha, that is brilliant, and I'm loving the Richard Herring addition at the end.
I also like the idea that I now completely accept the fact that there are such things as 'lion men' on trains. It doesn't sound strange any more.

Is the train going in the right direction this time?

That's really rather nice. If only that man wasn't talking all the way through it...

Really good. Very close to what I'd seen in my minds eye when listening to the podcast. (Apart from the suspender wearing ladies which I have seen in my minds eye but never while listening to your podcasts).

Is it just me or does your avatar looks a little like Sharleen Spiteri (although she usually doesn't have 5 o'clock shadow). Perhaps like her you don't want a lover, you just need a colleague.

Has NathanJay used his own face for Lion Man?

Nice shapes, Andrew!

Holy crap, that has to be the best thing I have ever seen, I love the way it's sounds all mellow when Andrew says "... and I dunno where he went and I dunno where he lives."

Fantastic. No doubt the internet will soon be flooded with inferior remixes.

I was particularly impressed by your dancing to the Northampton Minimal Mix.

The Richard Herring mix at the end is sooo hypnotic. Well done again Nathan. Nice dancing Andrew!

Andrew, Is the train moving the correct way this time?

We dont want any shoddy lack of detail about such a momentous event

ok I admit it, the first time was funny, this was just seemed indulgent; that was until about 4:55 into the track.

OK Nathan (and AC) all is forgiven forn now- the RH northampton minmal mix is funny.

But enough now...RH if you read any of these blog comments..'ave a word with Collings on the next Podcast. Seems he can't handle celebrity with any kind of dignity whatsoever.

I don't think he's done your face very well Andrew, annoyed that I don't have sound on this computer...

Absolutely remarkable, so clever!
More please Mr Jay.

Lovely to hear Richard Herring at the end, and, I hope you don't mind me saying, you have a very unusual dance style. I don't think Strictly will be calling you just yet. It's a shame that the vocals aren't stronger, it would've given Fluffy White Clouds a run for it's money.

Andrew's raunchy dancing (on the Northampton mix at the end) may actually be the funniest thing I've ever seen. Nathan Jay, you are a god. How on earth did you make that video so quickly? One thing though - the train is still going the wrong way!

Life is sweet,

This is absolutely brilliant... i am amazed at how much spare time Nathan Jay has, id love 1% of it.

It's quite stalkerish, but brilliant!

I love Andrew's moves at the end!

Marvellous, I think you should move towards having an animated accompaniment to every blog entry, you could have you working in the library, with you saying "sssshhhh" over the beat. For example.

That is really very good, NJ is a genius.

There are people who've been arrested before for dancing on trains like that - you'd better watch out before you think about busting a move.

Listener's tip - You can get away with it more easily when you're on a bus.

I'm not sure if you're being ironic or not, Peekay Ex, when you say, "Enough now" and say that I "can't handle celebrity with any kind of dignity whatsoever." If somebody made a disco record out of your voice and made amazing videos to go with it and you had a blog, would you not post up links? As far as I'm concerned, these showcase the good works of Nathan Jay, not me.

Which episode is the Lion Man story from? Great as the song is, the story is a bit difficult to hear with the music.

Fat Steve from America

P.S. The Lion Man has nice tits.

I'm happy so many people managed to stay until the end to see the 'secret' Northampton mix.

The video was recorded in 'virtual world' Second Life, Lion Man is my avatar with added dreadlocks (cost me 200 Linden Dollars, which is almost US$1 in real money!)

Andrew and Lion Mans Girl avatars are both my 'spares', it just took a bit of tweaking to get them to look the part. The train-ravers were people from Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, US, UK & all over northern Europe, so the Cult Of Lion Man is truly international.

To Rambu: I took couple of years break from career/dating/social life to do some music & video stuff, plus a part time minimum wage to pay for the essentials.
Its great for creativity, but not so good for standard of living.. so it depends on which you'd rather have!

Good tweaking, Nathan.

You've made Andrew look like Emo Phillips!

Fat Steve - the Lion Man podcast is number 13. A bit of caffeine had been drunk if I remember rightly which made for one of the funniest podcasts ever.

That's a little treasure, happily found whilst surfing with a broken collar trying to keep very still.
