I'm on Newsnight

Thanks to Robin Ince for pointing out that, via the miracle of that BBC library shot of "some books" and the spine of Heavens Knows I'm Miserable Now, my face was on Newsnight last night, as Jeremy Paxman dolefully introduced an item about electronic reading devices and the threat they pose to the printed book.

Ha ha, look, my blurry face is right above Paxo's. And heaven knows he looks miserable now.

In further news news, I was invited onto the Today programme this morning on Radio 4, to talk about some new action figures, but after a game of phone tag with the researcher, after which I disappeared into a screening of Angels & Demons, we never quite worked it out. Still, I was on Newsnight. Ha ha, library shot. Geddit?!

They had Andy McNab on Today to talk about the action figures. He was, in my opinion, a bit dismissive about the the lack of a black face among the nine figures in the range.
Their other guest, a high ranking naval chap, didn't manage to get to the microphone in time so the piece rather petered out. The bloke who does sport had to pad his bit out a bit so it lasted until the 8:30 news.
Well done andrew....wahts with the hair though....huh???
Isn't this the SAME pic they used on iPlayer a few weeks ago? Clearly someone at the Beeb's picture library is very fond you.
Thanks for the insight, The Bocking - Andy McNab is a much better draw than me, I'd say.
Yes, that is the same library shot they used on iPlayer, Wowser. It's more that the Beeb picture library has one shot of a row of books, I think, but whoever took the picture has done me a favour.
Shyam: it's a picture of me from the 80s because the book is about my life in the 80s.
Jeremy Paxman is my hero.
ooo, whats he done to his hair?
And the list of TV shows on which you have appeared once grows longer (at least until you are invited on again.) Newsnight Review, The One Show, More 4 News ... Steve
It looks like Paxman is thinking about you.
awww
And Where Did It All Go Right? is clearly visible on the left hand side, too...
The way you are floating over Paxman's head makes it look like you're forming a human exclamation mark.
Andrew
I can see Where Did it All Go Right at the left hand side of the screen too.
I also spotted it on a bookshelf in a picture from Good Homes magazine (don't ask) a couple of months ago. Sorry, forgot to mention it.
You get about a bit, don't you!
