Senator Kennedy dies

Before Senator Edward Kennedy selfishly died, aged 77, Richard Herring's big Hitlery face dominated the main BBC website homepage. (As Jim Bob commented on Twitter: "Could it be any bigger?") I took a grab of it, and I'm glad I did now, as Hitler is history. (You can read the story here - which, incidentally, has some very reasonable, positive, urbane comments at the end, a credit to either the moderators, or to the class of person who reads the BBC website.)

It did come as a bit of a surprise when I opened the BBC website to see Richard's face, that big, staring back at me. It was a nice surprise though.
Yay! Herring's back on the BBC(sort of...)
Jon
I was doing very well from the BBC yesterday too - here's my screen grab!

I have just been reading a bio of the Kennedy family - did you know they were linked to the Mitfords? Debo's Andrew's brother Billy, who was killed in WW2 was married to Kick (Kathleen) Kennedy.
Hey, Nikki. If I say, "I know" I'm not trying to out-Mitford you! Debo and Andrew attended JFK's inauguration and funeral, I think - although I'd have to check that. She had a nickname for Kennedy that I can't remember off the top of my head and I'm nowhere near my books. Anybody got the Letters? Look him up in the "nicknames" appendix!
Seeing that is probably what finished Teddy K off....
Hey! Do you remember where you were when Richard Herring was knocked off the BBC homepage?
The curse of the Kennedys continues...
Actully, the last quote I read at the BBC site rang bells in my head.
Richard H might not have got as much exposure if he'd called his show Gumby Moustache, though.
Me, I'd laugh either way.
I wouldn't say this is a case of the Kennedy curse. Teddy was 77 and had a terminal brain tumor. It's a sad day here is Massachusetts.
It was good to see young Mr. Herring back at the Beeb though, I think it's more a case of the curse of the Herring.
@MJT_DTF I'm fairly certain that "Horny 4 Truth" was joking. Quite a funny one too
Hang on... Jim Bob's on Twitter?
Dominic
Jim Bob on Twitter: @mrjimBob (his Tweets are always wry - and he is Jim Bob!)
Nope definitely the Kennedy curse only this time Death played the long game to avoid suspicion!
He's a sly one is old Death.
I hear Oliver Stone has already been circulating a long winded conspiracy theory that it was the CIA that finished him off.
Give it up Stone!
Yes Darren, I know. But thank you for explaining humor to me. Perhaps we could cover irony in the next lesson.
All together now! P-P-P-P-P-P-P Pizza Boy!
who is Jim Bob!? Jim Bob? Jim Bob? JimBob? I think I've heard of a Jim Bob, does anyone remember a Jim Bob? Yeah you remember Jim Bob yeah? Jim Bob you know Jim Bob. The "curse of the Kennedys" is nearly as bad as the "curse of Dad's Army".
Nice to see Richard and the hermaphalete united at last, even if it's only on the BBC website.
I seem to remember that one of the Kennedys is buried at Edensor - a village next to Chatsworth, Debo's home. Or am I talking bollocks again?
